CP360: Global Momentum for Cerebral Palsy

a block of text introducing CP360, a global coalition of organizations dedicated to improving health outcomes for people with cerebral palsy around the world

On May, 20, 2025 the Cerebral Palsy Foundation joined health leaders from Costa Rica, Ireland, Zimbabwe, and the World Health Organization at the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva. As co-founders of CP360 — the first-ever global coalition for cerebral palsy, created in partnership with Cerebral Palsy Alliance and the International Cerebral Palsy Society — we moderated an official side event focused on advancing universal health coverage for people with cerebral palsy.

This was more than just a presence — it was a powerful moment of global recognition. CP360 estimates that 50 million people live with cerebral palsy globally, a figure supported by rehabilitation data from the World Health Organization (Cieza, 2021). This staggering figure underscores the urgency of integrating cerebral palsy into national and international health systems, funding pathways, and policy conversations.

CPF’s involvement at this high-level gathering reflects our growing leadership in global health advocacy. Together with CP360, we are ensuring that cerebral palsy is no longer sidelined, but instead recognized as a critical public health issue that demands coordinated global action.

We remain committed to pushing cerebral palsy to the forefront of both global and national health agendas—and to working with partners worldwide to make inclusive, equitable healthcare a reality for every person with CP. Learn more about our plans for the future.
